I went for a run today. With my iPod. And my nike+ sensor. And my Polar watch. And the heartrate monitor. It was cool. I got my heartrate up to the 190 mark on more than one occasion, and at one point, got it all the way up to 192. According to the polar manual, my vo2 (sorry, but I’m not sure what that means) is “Excellent!” at 63 – the highest level on a scale from 1 to 7 that I could strive for.
So my resting hr is 50 or so. Is that good? Is that bad? What do I do with the information?
I’ll do some research and hopefully get back to you during my next run.
