I just wrote an amazing (take my word for it) piece on the lack of motivation in modern-day bike racers, attributing it to their lack of love for the actual bike-riding aspect of the sport…but I think it’s time for a photo exposé instead.

If you need an excuse to get out and ride, besides of course for the fact that you love riding your bike (you do, don’t you?), take a look at some of these new kits for the 2014 teams:

First up, we have the newly-rebranded Giant-Shimano, formerly known as Argos-Shimano. These pictures were taken from their facebook page.

Ladies and gentleman, the referees of the Pro Peloton.

Definitely a carry. Cannondale’s ball.

In Australia, wearing sleeves is frowned upon.

Next to the chopping block, and certainly no less a transgressor of the horribly ugly kit, is Trek Factory Racing, formerly known as Radioshack-Leopard-Trek, formerly known as Leopard-Trek, formerly known as Radioshack-Nissan-Trek. Pictures are, once again, taken from their facebook page.

Sorry, POC-boy, but this isn’t personal. It’s strictly business.

The pinstriped-kit says, “I’m formal, but I’m here to party.”

Trek has figured out how to take the boardroom out of the boardroom. Nicely done.

If you need Encouragement, Motivation, Inspiration, Drive…call it what you will, this “thing” people seem to be running short on this time of  year, look no further. Draw your ether from the photos above and get training. T-7.5 WEEKS TO SEASON’S START.
